TITLE: Community Shares Photographer & Reporter

RESPONSIBLE TO: Executive Director

GOAL OF POSITION:
Research member organizations, attend related program events, capture photographs and write stories describing programs for fundraising and promotion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Research member organization programs and related event dates.

2. Attend events to capture photos, stories and names of participants of events.

3. Write a summary story of events and related programs.

4. Communicate with Community Shares staff and member organization on schedule of events.

TIME COMMITMENT:

1. Community Shares of Greater Cincinnati is flexible. Approximately 2 to 3 hours per week, preferably between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, but some events may occur in the evening or on weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Committed to and supportive of Community Shares’ mission and its member organizations.

2. Experienced photographer with access to equipment and ability to provide digital pictures (pictures can be taken on traditional film, but need to be converted to electronic format).

3. Good interpersonal and teamwork skills, especially “working the crowd” to get nice photos.

4. Good written and verbal communication skills.

5. Proficiency with word processing and photo application software.
