TITLE: Campaign Specialist

RESPONSIBLE TO: Campaign Director

GOAL OF POSITION: Assist Campaign Director in planning, preparing for, and conducting workplace campaigns.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist with the development of campaign materials.

  2. Assist with preparing campaign materials for distribution.

  3. Assist with distribution of campaign materials to workplace sites.

  4. Work with other internal volunteers and external campaign coordinators to ensure campaign success.

  5. Assist with scheduling and/or making workplace presentations to provide information about Community Shares and its member organizations. (Making presentations is not a requirement of this position.)

  6. Assist with campaign kick-off events.

  7. Assist with set-up and staffing of display tables at workplaces and/or community events.

  8. Assist with computer entry of campaign data.

  9. Assist with compiling and summarizing campaign evaluations and outcomes.

  10. Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information related to Community Shares and its member organizations.

TIME COMMITMENT:

  1. Flexible schedule, approximately 6 to 10 hours per week, usually between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  2. Year-round opportunities, with greatest needs during May through December.

  3. Presentations usually last about 30 minutes, including 5-10 minutes about Community Shares, followed by 1 or 2 speakers from member organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

  2. Basic familiarity with windows-based word processing and Excel applications.

  3. Strong attention to detail.

  4. Good written and verbal communication skills.

  5. Ability to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.
